The Legend of Zelda unofficial remaster released for NES Emulator, Mesen

Now here is something that completely passed under my radar. Earlier this week, a team of modders released an HD overhaul mod for the NES version of The Legend of Zelda. This overhaul mod uses Zelda 1 Redux as a base, and allows PC gamers to experience a faithful remaster of this Zelda game on the PC via the NES emulator, Mesen.

Going into more details, this Mesen HD Pack increases the internal resolution, improves textures and audio, and brings new animated environments. Additionally, it increases frame count for running, introduces breakable tile hints, and faster text printing. Not only that, but this mod also comes with some gameplay tweaks. For instance, it increases the bomb upgrade amount, and allows for faster health refills.

Nintendo says Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros. will be continually shipped to retailers through roughly March 2021

The Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros. system won’t be around forever, but it will be distributed for a few months. Nintendo’s website for the product has updated and says it “will continue to be shipped to retailers through approximately March 31, 2021, and will be available for purchase while supplies last.”

If you’re in North America and are hoping to secure a pre-order, you might be out of luck. The official website no longer has a notice about reservations and instead says Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros. will be “releasing November 13th”.

Pwnagotchi – Pwn all the wifi

Pwnagotchi is a modern day take on the Tamagatchi of the 90s, but with a Cyber Security twist. This digital pet derives his happiness by sniffing WPA and WPA2 handshakes which can then be run through hashcat to guess the password.
