Full disclosure: 0day vulnerability (backdoor) in firmware for HiSilicon-based DVRs, NVRs and IP cameras

This is a full disclosure of recent backdoor integrated into DVR/NVR devices built on top of HiSilicon SoC. Described vulnerability allows attacker to gain root shell access and full control of device. Full disclosure format for this report has been chosen due to lack of trust to vendor. Proof of concept code is presented below.

External GPU On A $300 Walmart Laptop! MOTILE 14 + Radeon RX590

I added a Full-Size desktop Radeon RX590 Graphics Card to a $300 MOTILE Performance laptop from Walmart and it works!

In this video, we take a look and see if it’s possible to add and external GPU to a cheap laptop using an M.2 to PCIe X16 adapter. The Motile 14 is a pretty great laptop starting at $300 from Walmart it’s powered by a Risen 5 3500G backed by Vega 8 Graphics and comes stock with 8GB of ram but I wanted a little more out of the performance laptop so I decided to add and Full-Size Desktop GPU to this thing.
