Raspberry Pi Zero W Powers Mario Kart Live Prototype

Nintendo’s new Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit, a game where your home becomes the track thanks to augmented reality and a remote controlled kart, is almost ready for release. The team behind prototyping the unique kart have talked about prototyping the technology used, which anyone can buy, namely the Raspberry Pi Zero W.

As written by Nintendo Life, VELAN was tasked by Nintendo to develop a prototype of the kart used in the game, and they chose the Raspberry Pi Zero W as a testbed.  Looking closely at the image, we can see four key areas that identify the components used.

VMware, Nvidia partner to make AI chips easier for businesses to use

VMware Inc and Nvidia Corp on Tuesday announced an effort to make VMware’s software for managing data centers work better with Nvidia’s artificial intelligence (AI) chips.

VMware makes software that helps businesses get more work out of data center servers by slicing physical machines into “virtual” ones so that more applications can be packed onto each physical machine. Its tools are commonly used by large businesses that operate their own data centers as well as businesses that use cloud computing data centers.

There’s a freaky gaping chasm in Microsoft Flight Simulator, with an airport at the bottom of it

Last month we were all amused and transfixed by several looming citadels discovered on the landscape of Microsoft Flight Simulator. And now there’s a new reality-warping curiosity to visit.

A bizarre, gaping chasm has been found in Brazil. And weirder still, there’s an airport at the bottom of it.

This yawning chasm appears to first have been found by ReversedWindow on Reddit, who was brave enough to taxi an airplane right on down inside it. I did the same, and it’s weird down there. Very weird.
