its funny, ETA prime just reviewed the gamepi15, wasnt a great review, the screen was slow for him, I was in comments rebutting that, saying he just needed the right setup software wise :>

I posted on the ETA Prime Facebook Group, and on the youtube Channel, I don't think my Youtube comment made it and may have been removed due to the link.

No reply as of yet.

The fact that I put links in the replies may have caused them to be blocked. I also tweeted at him and posted on his Facebook page. Not sure it got much traction sadly.

It would be real nice to see a redo of the review with the better RetroPie image we have.

Once you get the device online on your WiFi, you can then add games to it over the network

Here is a how-to get it setup for WiFi

You can then connect to it from your desktop and navigate to the ROMs folder and place ROMs in the appropriate folders (NES, SNES etc)

Let me know if you get stuck at any point, I'd be glad to help.

Since you wont be able to do the WiFi way, then you can try this (pulled from the RetroPie website here)

Use a USB stick to transfer the ROMs

USB stick

  1. (ensure that your USB stick is formatted to FAT32 or exFAT)
  2. create a folder called retropie on your USB stick
  3. plug it into the RetroPie system and wait for it to finish blinking
  4. pull the USB stick out and plug it into a computer
  5. add the roms to their respective folders (within the retropie/roms folder)
  6. plug it back into the RetroPie system
  7. wait for it to finish blinking
  8. you can now remove the USB stick
  9. refresh the game listing in Emulationstation by pressing F4, or choosing 'Restart Emulationstation'/'Restart System' via the start menu.

Ok thanks

But first I need help to solve a problem

I soldered my zero and connected to the gamehat

Só far so good as it turned on and the screen is black

But a few seconds later it turned off on its own

What do you  think it could be?

Would a video help to diagnose it?

Are you powering it off a battery or off USB power?

If you are doing battery, make sure its fully charged before testing.
If you are doing USB power, try both the "charge port" on the GamePi15 hat, as well as the power USB port on the Pi Zero and see if you get the same results from both.

All is ok my friend

I tried the pi zero on the usb. Power and it was fine so I reworked the gpio pins and was spot on

Now I just medd to figure a way to put roms inside the image and get used to the controls

Will also print your case design

Thanks for the help
