Can the Raspberry Pi 4 Replace a Desktop PC? Lets find out In this video I set up the Official Raspberry pi 4 Desktop Kit with dual 22” AOC monitors to see just how the Raspberry Pi 4 performs a Desktop PC of everyday use and the results are pretty good not that the Pi 4 has been out for hail and had a bit of time for the software to mature.

Tape could replace hard drives – in some cases – thanks to this breakthrough
Fujitsu has announced a new technology called Virtual Integrated File System that it says could help magnetic tape storage compete with hard disk drives as a low-cost, large capacity storage alternative.
With the feud between Sony and Fujitsu around LTO resolved late last year, all eyes are now on LTO-9, which is expected to be delivered in 2020. This iteration will deliver capacities up to 26.1TB (uncompressed) and raw throughput of up to 708MB/sec.
That’s a higher capacity than the largest hard drive on the market (currently 20TB) – also faster and likely cheaper too. Add in on-the-fly compression capabilities and, suddenly, it’s all looking rosy for the venerable tape.

RaspberryPi 4 Rev 1.2 Fixes USB-C Power Issues, Improves SD Card Resilience
The first Raspberry Pi 4 boards suffered from a poor USB-C power supply compatibility due to issues for the power circuitry. That means if you bought the official USB-C power supply you had no issues, but if you wanted to re-use a spare USB-C power supply or incompatible cable, you may be out of luck.
The Register is now reporting that the Raspberry Pi Foundation has discreetly released a new revision (v1.2) of the board that fixes several issues including USB-C PD compatibility, and as Eben Upton explains the new revision also:
moved the WLCSP SD card voltage switch to the top side
… silk screen tweaks to reduce solder bridging in manufacture”.
The new boards have been around for a couple of months as some users report the USB-C power issues have been fixed on new boards.

Pimpin’ the Amiga in 2020 – The Only Amiga Graphics Card you’ll ever need – MNT ZZ9000 | MVG
It’s been 2 years since our last Amiga video but we are back with a look at an amazing graphics card for any Amiga 2000/3000/4000. This is the MNT ZZ9000 RTG Card that supports resolutions up to 1080p , had onboard ethernet and USB, is open source and FPGA
The Octo-Bouncer
Arduino project with 120 FPS OpenCV image processing and smooth stepper motor moves. The machine calculates the ball’s 3D position from the image processing data and uses this information to control the orange ping pong ball.
Control the volume of programs running on your Windows PC like a DJ
If you have multiple applications open in Windows, you may want one to be louder than the other, but what if you want to adjust levels with physical sliders like an actual DJ? If that sounds interesting, check out this controller by “Aithorn.”
The device uses an Arduino Nano to read signals from each slider and pass this info over to the computer. A Python script, along with a VBScript helper, runs on the PC to control the master and program-specific volumes.
CloverPI Clusters Up to 4 RaspberryPi Boards (Crowdfunding)
We’ve seen Raspberry Pi cluster boards before, and most of them either use Raspberry Pi Zero boards or Raspberry Pi Compute Modules. Some examples include Turing Pi Clusterboard for up to 7 RPi CM3 modules, Cluster HAT board taking up to 4 Pi Zero board, and Mininodes Raspberry Pi 3 COM Carrier Board.
But some other solutions like Bitscope rely instead on full-sized Raspberry Pi 2/3/4 Model B boards. Another such option is IPTerra CloverPI board allowing up to 4 Raspberry Pi or compatible boards with 40-pin header to be clustered into a single unit powered by one power supply and connected via a 5-port Gigabit Ethernet switch.
Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra Durability Test! – Is it… Ultra Strong?
Its time to see if the Galaxy S20 Ultra can live up to its name. Grab your TEARDOWN Skin HERE: https://dbrand.com/teardown The with the word ‘Ultra’ in its name, the Galaxy S20 Ultra sounds like the biggest, baddest, best smartphone on the market. But… in reality, it is a great combination of specs, but they are all specs weve seen before in other phones. There is nothing *new* with the S20 Ultra; nothing more than the incremental step forward we always get with new devices. But with that incremental improvement, the price took a huge hike. One small step for phones, but a giant leap for your wallet. ha. Just thought that up myself.
