Animal Crossing: New Horizons players are holding Tommy ransom to cancel their debt with Tom Nook

Animal Crossing: New Horizons players are attempting to clear their debt with Tom Nook by holding little Tommy Nook ransom.

Screenshots have appeared on Reddit showing several players caging the little twin Tanuki outside and sending a letter to business mogul Tom Nook to demand he clear their debt. One player trapped the little flag-holding Tommy outside resident services using log stakes. The reddit post by u/travisstyle reads “My 11-year-old daughter is finding new and creative ways to pay off debt.”

Libretro Cores Quick Look – Mupen64 Plus Next – 64 Disk Drive Support!

The Mupen64 Plus Next core now finally supports the 64 Disk Drive! In this video you see three games being tested: Polygon Studio, part of the Mario Artist set of game creation tools for the 64DD. Think of a prehistoric take on Dreams two decades ago. Next is F-Zero X Expansion Kit. F-Zero X received a 64DD expansion which bolted on a track editor to the game and added a few new cups. Third is Super Mario 64 Disk Version. It is essentially a proof of concept tech demo for the 64DD meant to show off the relatively fast loading times comparative to the PS1/Saturn’s double-speed CD-ROM drive. This would have been one of the big selling points of the 64DD had it not been continuously delayed well past its sell by date.

This genius created a Switch dock with fully integrated GameCube controller ports

Not all heroes wear capes.

Although the creator of the blog “Built by Brock” isn’t going to go to your house and make this device at-will, the fact that it exists makes me happy. Yep, it’s a GameCube remote adapter that’s been fully integrated, seamlessly I might add, into the Switch dock: the four controller ports sit nicely in the open space on the back of the dock, where you plug the inputs in.

Nintendo Of America Employee Tests Positive For COVID-19

After delaying game releases and shutting down this year’s E3, the coronavirus outbreak has now hit Nintendo of America’s headquarters in Redmond, Washington. The Seattle Times is reporting a Nintendo employee has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus and has also been in contact with other staff members.

The video game company reportedly confirmed this on Thursday evening. All Nintendo employees in contact with this individual are now in self-quarantine, whether they have symptoms or not. Here’s a direct statement from NoA:

Nintendo of America is supporting this individual as they recover and will continue to take precautions to safeguard the health and well-being of all our employees and the broader community

As stated last week, Nintendo is now allowing all of its staff located within the states of California and Washington to work from home.

Nintendo Switch Online is good, but it needs N64 games to be great

Nintendo doesn’t have the best reputation when it comes to online gaming. It’s hard to know exactly why the company has never reached the heights of PS Plus or Xbox Live, but the fact that Sony and Microsoft got there first probably played a part. Nintendo, generally, likes to be an originator.

With Nintendo Switch Online though, this appears to be changing. But, to really take the fight to its competitors, it needs one thing: N64 game support.

Rumor: Two Nintendo Presentations Expected To Air Before The End Of March

The UK-based retailer GAME may have lifted the lid on a Nintendo Direct presentation ahead of schedule. Now, to add to this, VentureBeat staff writer, reporter and verified Twitter user Jeff Grubb has published an article claiming a Nintendo Indie World video will “likely” be broadcast on 18th March, and a proper Nintendo Direct is expected to follow it on 26th March.

it’s in the final stages of putting the video presentation together. That’s based on what we’re hearing as well as some other indicators.

So, just to make it clear, not one – but two – video presentations are expected to air before the end of this month. While Jeff says he “can’t confirm” the first-party titles that will be shown, he does say the next presentation will take a much “broader” look at Nintendo’s upcoming software line-up.
